Poland – Big changes in Totolotek
Totolotek, the longest running bookmaker in Poland, will soon undergo major changes. The Gauselmann Group, which has taken over the bookmaker, is planning a number of investments worth tens of millions of PLN.
For years, Totolotek has been at the forefront of the largest, legal companies in its industry in Poland. In relation with the takeover by the German Gauselmann group, Totolotek will be rebranding in the near future as well as a far-reaching update of online sale systems and land-based points.
The new logo with the Sun characteristic for the Gauselmann group will soon appear in the first land-based sales outlets, at www.totolotek.pl and in brand marketing communication. All points of sale will undergo a thorough renovation. They will benefit from modernity, in each there will be bookmaker terminals and a completely new design and functionality of the system. The bookmaker also plans to open several dozen premium points with an increased standard, where in comfortable conditions you will be able to watch the most important sports events on large screens.
“The scale of the operation we are just making is unprecedented on the Polish mutual betting market. This is possible thanks to the acquisition by an investor who has modern technology and believes in the development of an online channel as well as a retail network. It is a great challenge for the Totolotek brand and each of its employees, whose final goal is to strengthen the podium of country’s biggest bookmaking brands. ”
– said Adam Lamentowicz, President of Totolotek SA.
In addition, the revolution will also take place in the bookmaker’s online channels. The Totolotek site will operate in a new and modern version, strongly focused on the mobile game and live bets. The system will be much faster and intuitive, and the offer of live bets will be expanded to around 40,000 events per month.
“Bookmaker bets are extremely popular in Poland and for many sports enthusiasts are an indispensable element of good games. The takeover of Totolotek is an important part of our development strategy. We are opening up for Poland and thanks to this we are gaining another important market in Europe alongside Germany, Austria, Denmark and Belgium.”
– said Niko Steinkrauß, CEO at Merkur Sportwetten.
The Gauselmann Group was founded in 1957 and is a family-owned company based in Espelkamp, Germany, employing approximately 13,500 employees. Thanks to new ideas for games and innovative technology, “Die Spielemacher” inspires millions of customers. Merkur’s Sun is a trademark of the Gauselmann Group, meaning good entertainment with the best legal games in the world.
The process of changes in Totolotek should end in spring next year, when the last land-based points will be renovated, all system changes will be implemented and the product promotion portfolio will be completed before the European Football Championship.
